The OWLS Foundation is delighted that our board member Jill Tanner has been selected as the 2017 Oregon State Bar Taxation Section Award of Merit recipient. Prior to her retirement from the bench, she served on the Oregon Tax Court for nearly two decades, most recently as Presiding Magistrate. The award recognizes her for exemplary leadership and service to the Oregon State Tax Court, the Bar, and the community in general; her professionalism; her commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession; and for her tireless efforts at mentoring new lawyers.
The award will be conferred on Thursday, June 1, at the Oregon Tax Institute. Online registration is available here.
