The Foundation is pleased to offer this grant in honor of late Foundation Board member Armonica Gilford. The grant is available to students in their final year at one of the three Oregon law schools who demonstrate a commitment to the Foundation’s mission through their life, work, volunteer, or educational experience and who intend to continue that commitment in Oregon. Applicants who have received different grants from the Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation may also apply for the Armonica Law Student Grant.
The Foundation awards a grant of $3,000 for law school expenses and matches each recipient with a female judge or attorney mentor for the year, with an effort to match the recipient’s needs.
Women and members of other historically underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
Applications must be submitted between August 1 and September 15 of the applicant’s final year of law school. Applications submitted outside this period will not be considered. Grant recipients will be notified in October.
Apply for the grant using the online application form.
