Rima Ghandour joined the OWLS Foundation board in 2021. She is a circuit court judge in Multnomah County.
For the last twenty years, Rima concentrated her work in complex construction defect lawsuits, commercial litigation, real estate disputes, product liability, insurance coverage and personal injury claims in state and federal courts. She is licensed in four states: Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California.
She earned a B.A. in international relations from Colgate University in 1994 and a J.D. from the University of San Diego in 1998.
Rima is the Past President of the Multnomah Bar Association and Queen’s Bench, the Multnomah County chapter of Oregon Women Lawyers and is a member of the Oregon Women Lawyers board of directors. Additionally, Rima currently serves on the board of the Oregon Law Foundation. Rima is active in the community and is a Co-Founder and Past President of the board of the Arab American Cultural Center of Oregon.
Rima is also the recipient of the 2021 Multnomah Bar Association’s Professionalism Award, the 2017 Oregon State Bar’s Diversity & Inclusion Award, the 2017 Muslim Education Trust Community Service Award and the Oregon Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) 2019 Richard M. Ginsburg, Outstanding Leadership for Immigration Rights Award.
