Congratulations to those students who are recipients of the Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation’s Armonica Law Student Grant for the 2022-23 academic year! They are Leona Yazdidoust of Lewis & Clark, and Mai Lani Moua, and Shiri Salehin from University of Oregon. Each grantee has been matched with a mentor and will receive a monetary award of $2,000 for law school expenses. Volunteer mentors for the 2022-23 academic year are Justice Rebecca Duncan of the Oregon Supreme Court, Judge Amy Baggio of the Multnomah County Circuit Court, and Judge Debra Velure of the Lane County Circuit Court.
The Armonica Law Student Grant is named for the late Armonica Gilford, an active board member of Oregon Women Lawyers and the Oregon Women Lawyers Foundation, and a treasured member of the wider legal community. Applications for the 2023 grants will be accepted beginning on August 1, 2023.
